Voor de opfok, groei en productie van leghennen is een juiste voeding vanaf het begin erg belangrijk. De behoefte van de dieren is sterk afhankelijk van het ontwikkelings­stadium en van het feit of de kippen eieren leggen. Kasper Faunafood heeft daarom een serie voeders die, mits juist gebruikt, een goede opfok en later een goede eierproductie bevorderen. De voederopname is afhankelijk van ras en leeftijd, maar vooral van de grootte (gewicht) van de kippen. Bij de verschillende legpercentages kan globaal het onderstaand schema worden aangehouden.

Aanvullende diervoeding voor pluimvee. Te verstrekken naast een volledig voeder, maximaal 25% van de dagelijkse gift, bij voorkeur uitstrooien voor stimulering van het scharrelgedrag. Aanbevolen voor kippen van alle rassen.
